Spring History Hike

April 21, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Join the Sleeping Giant Park Association for a guided hike focusing on the industry and quarrying that gave rise to the move to save the Giant a century ago. This hike will be led by SGPA Board Member, Trina Learned, who has done extensive research into the history of the park and the Association.

This will be a moderate hike of ~2 hours with stops for discussion. This hike will involve traveling over some uneven terrain. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable, supportive shoes with good traction. A day pack with snacks, water, sunscreen and any other essentials is recommended.

Additional details, including registration, is forthcoming. We generally begin accepting registration one month prior to the event’s start.

Out of consideration for other participants, dogs are not permitted on SGPA hikes.

For additional information about this or other hikes, please contact SGPA’s hiking programs manager at [email protected].
