The Sleeping Giant Park Association’s Board of Directors is thrilled to unveil our new website. Made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the website was created by SGPA’s ad-hoc website committee, chaired by SGPA Vice President, Aaron Lefland. Throughout this process, the committee worked closely with a professional website designer and developer to ensure a state-of-the-art website that is secure, functional, and user-friendly.
We envision this website being a hub for park visitors and SGPA supporters alike. A few of the new features we are excited about include:
–The Program Calendar, a central location with up-to-date information about events, programs, volunteer opportunities, and other ways to get involved.
–Intuitive navigation, making it easier to find the information and resources you need to enjoy the park or engage with SGPA.
–Inspiring imagery on every page, reminding site visitors of the beauty of the Sleeping Giant and the importance of SGPA’s mission to protect and care for this special place.
–Streamlined membership and donation transactions that make it quicker and easier to support SGPA.
We are also working on a few features that are still in the works, including:
–An online Trading Post with a streamlined e-commerce option. No longer will customers need to print, then mail, their order form.
–Interactive, web-based trail guides to accompany you on your hikes.
–Other ways to learn, explore, and connect with SGPA.
We hope that you enjoy the new website, and will let us know if there are ways we can continue improving the site.
