The Great Give 2023 – Support SGPA

The Sleeping Giant Park Association invites you to support the Giant during the 2023 Great Give. This 36-hour online, community-wide giving event was created by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to raise visibility and resources for nonprofits serving Greater New Haven. Thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors, the efforts of participating organizations, and sponsorships, last year’s event raised an impressive $3.46 million for a record number of 510 local nonprofits.

Last year, SGPA raised over $1,000 to support tree planting efforts in areas of the park that were damaged by the 2018 tornados. This year, we are back at it. The first $5,000 raised through the 2023 Great Give will be used to purchase, plant, and maintain new trees near the park entrance. Any additional funds will be used to support the many other projects and programs of SGPA. Read more on our Great Give page.
